Cooking directions

Getting it hot

Everything we sell is already cooked. You're just warming it up.

Burritos

Oven
Preheat oven to 375. Wrap burrito in foil and cook for 30 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Microwave
Remove from packaging and heat on high for 2 1/2–3 minutes. Wrap in a wet paper towel to avoid a dry, crispy tortilla shell.
Serving
For extra flavor top with your favorite salsa, sour cream, & fresh cilantro!

Tamales

Stovetop
Place a metal or bamboo steamer basket in a pot with water on the bottom (make sure water is at least 1" below the bottom of the steamer basket – you don’t want the tamales sitting in the water). Once steaming, add tamales to the basket (stacking them is fine), cover the pot, and cook until tamales are soft and reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Cooking time will be somewhere between 10-15 minutes, with faster cook times if thawed or in a less crowded steamer.
Microwave
Remove tamales from packaging and wrap in a wet paper towel. Heat on high for 2–4 minutes, until tamales are soft and hot in the center.
Serving
Remove parchment paper husk (compostable!) and top with your favorite salsa.

Entrees

Oven
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Remove plastic covering and cover with foil. Place container on baking sheet and heat for 30-40 minutes, or until food reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Microwave
Peel back plastic covering to release steam and microwave on high for five minutes or until food reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

Tortillas

Stovetop
Heat gently in a dry frying pan (no oil needed) until soft and warm.
Oven
Wrap in foil and warm at 300 degrees until soft and warm.
